Review: The Out of Time series by Nadine Brandes has been a personal favorite of mine for years. It captures the real life struggles of the protagonist, Parvin Blackwater, and how she struggles with family, friends, and most importantly, her faith. This series paints a beautiful picture of how Christians struggle day to day but can find hope in God and his promises. Nadine did not just write a book but built a world of drama, plot twists, important themes, and lessons. A good book for me is one that leaves the reader thinking and lost in their own thoughts. This series does just that but also leaves you feeling encouraged. It shows that God calls all of us to something big. Whether that’s showing others kindness or doing something no one has ever dared to do before. The Out of Time series isn’t just an ordinary book trilogy. It’s a world that you can get lost in. This is a story that you don’t want to miss.
Fave Quote: And through her faith, though she die… she still speaks.
Why Would a Reader Love This Book?
The series is immersive and doesn’t feel like principles like faith are being thrown in your face like some books do. It makes you feel for the characters and you walk away wanting to read the series over and over again.
